The Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting and strengthening the organization’s brand through strategic brand management, public relations, and internal communications. This role oversees social media and brand initiatives, plans and coordinates events, and provides support across a variety of marketing and organizational projects. The Marketing Specialist brings creativity, initiative, and a self-starter mindset, along with experience in brand and social media management, to effectively manage multiple priorities and collaborate with teams across the organization.
Brand Management
Manage the development and execution of brand guidelines to ensure consistent messaging and visual identity across all social media channels
Manage, edit, create, and maintain company logos and brand materials
Create and maintain marketing materials that align with brand standards, including digital, print, and internal assets
Monitor brand presence and perception across platforms, flagging opportunities to strengthen brand awareness and engagement
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure brand integrity is reflected in campaigns, content, and customer touchpoints
Create and implement brand training for managers across the company
Public Relations/Employee Communications
Support public relations initiatives, including media outreach and community engagement opportunities
Manage internal communications to keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with company initiatives and culture
Coordinate messaging for company announcements, milestones, and community involvement efforts
Managing engagement and communications through social media platforms (responding to messages, comments, etc.)
Research, coordinate, and possibly attend local job fairs
Event Planning/Coordination
Plan, coordinate, and support company and fundraising events
Manage event logistics such as vendor coordination, timelines, RSVPs, invitations, materials, and on-site support
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure events align with marketing objectives and brand standards
Assist with post-event follow-up, reporting, and evaluation to assess ROI and opportunities for improvement
Various Projects and Support
Support a variety of marketing initiatives and special projects, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
Assist with content creation, campaign execution, and coordination across marketing channels
Maintain organized project documentation, timelines, and asset libraries
Provide general marketing and administrative support to the team as needed in a fast-paced environment
Visit job sites, trucks, and events to capture and generate content
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Bachelor's degree in marketing or similar field preferred
2-3 years of experience in marketing with some level of creative autonomy
Experience in event coordination, content creation, social media management, logo and brand management
Technologically savvy and able to use appropriate tools for content creation
