Overview
Hall Madden is hiring a client made-to-measure fit specialist for men's and women's tailoring in our San Francisco showroom.
Founded in 2010, Hall Madden specializes in custom men’s clothing and has nine nationwide locations and we're expanding our offerings to custom women's clothing. We are a top-rated provider of tailoring in the Bay Area and believe our clients deserve the best service and to wear the finest quality garments made just for them. We’re a small business with a tight-knit team and an entrepreneurial spirit.
We are busy year-round as one of the most sought after custom clothing destinations in the area and want to hire a fit specialist with experience in both men's custom clothing who wants to focus primarily on the sales side of our business.
Candidates we tend to hire
Experience doing daily custom suit fittings for men using made-to-measure
Previous work experience at Suitsupply, Indochino, or other MTM competitors
An existing client book they can bring over to sell to immediately
A desire to move on from traditional retail work and toward appointment based selling
A resume that shows advancement from entry level toward more responsibilities
Candidates we tend to NOT hire
Don\'t have custom clothing or made-to-measure experience
Don\'t have a track record of advancement and growth within organizations
Only have entry-level experience
Don\'t have sales experience
Responsibilities
Fitting clients for custom clothing
Providing knowledgable sales assistance to clients
Using soft sales skills to close transactions
Inputting client orders accurately and on time
Auditing inventory and notifying clients of their garment status
Coordinating and communicating needed alterations to garments
Responding to phone, text and email inquiries
Requirements
Job is on-site in our Bay Area showrooms
Must be able to lift and move boxes weighing around 20lbs.
Proficient at data entry and note taking.
Professional tailored attire & grooming.
Days open Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-6pm with flexibility in schedule. We may move to a 7-days a week schedule with this new hire taking different times.
Experience
Familiarity with made-to-measure fitting systems for suits, dress shirts, etc. with men\'s custom clothing.
Retail sales, preferably in custom clothing industry.
Knowledge about fabrics and design details.
Fitting experience in women\'s custom tailoring a huge plus.
