This is a full-time position
Position Summary:
Develop the campaign fundraising strategy and oversee implementation of the finance plans for:
Lauren Underwood for Congress
Federal LPAC: American Mosaic PAC
Illinois LPAC: Farm Team PAC
Lauren Underwood Victory Fund
Lead and support the finance team to achieve monthly and quarterly fundraising goals
Work with the Senior Advisor to assess and reconcile the fundraising plan with the campaign budget
Manage consultant relationships responsible for out-of-state individual fundraising and digital fundraising
Oversee the database to ensure data integrity for donor acknowledgment and reporting
Responsibilities Include:
Planning
Write and implement a fundraising plan
Accurately predict campaign revenue by quarter, month, and week, and communicate projections to the campaign manager
Fundraising
Maintain donor and key stakeholder relationships
Create a donor research plan to expand the donor base in Illinois and nationwide
Oversee candidate and staff call time, including preparing call sheets and donor follow‑up
Plan fundraising events, including recruiting hosts, soliciting and acknowledging donors, and staffing the candidate in‑person
Develop and oversee direct mail fundraising programs
Oversee donor acknowledgments
Staff in‑person meetings and events in Washington, DC
Management
Coordinate with and oversee national fundraising, digital fundraising, and compliance consultants
Help manage the Congresswoman’s calendar, incoming scheduling requests, and fundraising needs
Compile and share performance reports with the Senior Advisor
Compliance
Review FEC reports before they are filed
Oversee timely entry and maintenance of donor records, pledges, call time results, and event information.
Applicants must have:
Prior campaign fundraising experience and progression through the finance staff ranks
Managed or staffed candidate call time
Organized successful fundraising events
Written fundraising solicitations (mail or email)
Experience setting and hitting goals
Applicants will be considered more competitive if they have:
Well‑qualified candidates will have at least 2 cycles of relevant fundraising or political experience, which can include internships and/or volunteer work
Familiarity with fundraising tools such as ActBlue, NGP, and Excel
Managed monthly or weekly fundraising projections
Fundamental knowledge of Federal Election Law
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
The ideal candidates are based in Washington, DC
Compensation
Salary: $7,000 - $8,000 / month
