
Overview
The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for the sales and marketing departments, overseeing up to 10 employees and managing the brand, Lars.
Marketing responsibilities include creating and executing the marketing plan, evaluating the current market climate, and ensuring all corporate branding is creative, targeting audiences to support the growth and sustainability of the company.
Sales management efforts align with executing the sales vision and motivating and leading the project consultants through the life cycle of fulfilling new client dreams.
Responsibilities
- Strategy & planning (sales plans, targets, forecasting)
- Team Leadership (hiring, training, coaching, motivating)
- Performance Management (monitoring KPI's, analyzing data, reviews, problem solving)
- Operations (budgeting, CRM, reporting, inter-departmental coordination) to drive revenue goals and ensure individual and team success.
- Establish clear measurable sales targets and individual quotas for each rep.
- Sales Forecasting – predict future sales and revenue based on data and market trends.
- Continual effort to improve conversion rates and management of the sales pipeline.
Responsibilities - Marketing Management (50%)
- Oversee the development of integrated and innovative marketing strategies and execute performance driven campaigns with marketing team members
- Oversee, review, and approve all written content
- Market Analysis - continually evaluate industry trends, customer preferences and competitor activities
- Weekly meetings with team to assess current marketing initiatives, review progress, plan future campaigns, events, and initiatives
- Consistently find new opportunities to increase exposure for the organization and engagement with audiences
- Identify and coordinate in-showroom event opportunities
- Provide direction to marketing team members regarding key ongoing initiatives (social media content, web site design and development, email funnel content creation, blog content) across multiple websites and social media accounts.
- Oversee, review, and approve the creation and development of all collateral pieces, utilizing graphic design.
- Analyze paid, owned, and earned media performance to make informed marketing decisions
- Interpret consumer research and translate into effective marketing programs
- Actively lead, develop, and inspire the marketing team with a focus on innovation and collaboration

Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, or related field
- Experience managing others and leading sales team
Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
- CA Driver's License; Required
Work Experience
- 7+ years of experience in sales/marketing
- 5+ years of experience as sales supervisor/showroom supervisor
- Experience within construction and/or the appliance and plumbing fixture industry
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to balance multiple projects
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Fluent in the English language
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Have the ability to visualize concepts and explain them to others
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Must be able to work and complete difficult tasks under no supervision
