Overview COMSOL, Inc. is looking for a sales development representative who will increase our business by identifying, initiating, and progressing sales opportunities in both prospective and existing accounts. This position involves close collaboration with COMSOL engineers, who are experts in the software and fields of science where it is used, as well as experienced sales representatives and managers. A successful candidate can look forward to training and experience in selling to a highly technical and industrial sphere with a career as a sales representative or manager emanating from this.

This is an in-office position. Work hours will be determined based on the time zone for the assigned sales territory (East-West Coast).

Responsibilities

Actively reach out daily by phone and email to a high volume of inbound leads to help qualify their buying intent.

Research and identify prospects within assigned accounts.

Generate qualified opportunities for sales representatives and managers to convert and close sales cases.

Work together with sales representatives and managers on account planning to develop existing accounts and establish new ones.

Support the sales staff in all aspects of the sales process including setting up calls or meetings between prospective customers and sales representatives and managers.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability and willingness to travel for limited times in order to run or assist in running COMSOL-sponsored events and activities in North and South America ( Current eligibility to work in the U.S. No sponsorship for employment-based visas will be offered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, engineering, or science.

Prior B2B sales or customer service experience.

Previous or current involvement or interactions with technology-based companies, research organizations, or technical academic institutions.

Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
