We7re partnering with a well-established general contractor to hire a
Senior Preconstruction Manager
to support a growing project pipeline across healthcare, commercial, education, and other complex construction sectors. This role plays a critical part early in the project lifecycle, partnering with operations, design teams, and ownership to set projects up for successful execution. The ideal candidate enjoys strategic planning, collaboration, and problem-solving, and brings a strong understanding of how early decisions around scope, cost, and schedule impact downstream construction outcomes. Responsibilities
Lead preconstruction efforts from pursuit through handoff, ensuring projects are fully scoped, budgeted, and aligned for execution Develop and manage conceptual, schematic, design development, and GMP estimates Collaborate with design partners, owners, and internal operations teams to evaluate constructability, phasing, and risk Lead value engineering efforts and alternative analyses to align scope and budget without sacrificing quality Manage subcontractor outreach, bid packaging, bid leveling, and scope reviews Support procurement strategies, early trade involvement, and buyout planning Develop and review project schedules in collaboration with operations and field leadership Identify project risks, assumptions, and constraints and clearly communicate them to stakeholders Participate in client presentations, interviews, and pursuit strategy discussions Support smooth transition from preconstruction to operations through thorough documentation and coordination Qualifications
Bachelor7s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience) 8 9–12+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project management Experience supporting healthcare, commercial, education, or similar complex projects Strong estimating, cost planning, and analytical skills Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate across disciplines Proficiency with preconstruction and estimating tools and software Strong communication skills with the ability to present clearly to internal teams and clients Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
