Role Overview Best Interest is hiring a
Senior Loan Processor
to support and scale our growing mortgage operations team. This role is built for an experienced, high-output processor who thrives in fast-paced, purchase-driven environments and takes true ownership of the pipeline. You’ll own loans from “Submitted to Underwriting” through funding and post-close, protecting closing dates, resolving complex issues, and ensuring files move forward without friction. This role is critical to maintaining predictable turn times, strong partner confidence, and revenue reliability as we continue to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Own the loan pipeline from submission through funding and post-close follow-ups
Manage a high-volume, purchase-focused pipeline (up to ~30 active loans) while consistently closing
20–30 loans per month
Maintain momentum across files, resolving conditions and removing blockers without unnecessary delays
Communicate clearly, confidently, and proactively with borrowers, realtors, loan officers, lenders, and internal partners
Navigate high-pressure and time-sensitive situations with composure and professionalism
Escalate risks early with context and proposed solutions
Use
ARIVE LOS
as the system of record, keeping workflows, milestones, notes, and documentation accurate and current
Ensure each file tells a clean, compliant, real-time story from submission through post-close
Follow and reinforce Best Interest’s communication and documentation standards
Relentlessly protect closing dates by anticipating risks, managing conditions, and coordinating across all parties
Proactively address last-mile issues related to underwriting, appraisal, title, or funding
Independently resolve complex loan scenarios, escalating only when necessary and always with recommended paths forward
What Success Looks Like In the First 30 Days
Take immediate ownership of an active pipeline without disrupting closings or client experience
Learn Best Interest’s operating rhythm, ARIVE workflows, and lender portals
Build trust with loan officers and leadership through clear communication and calm execution
In the First 60 Days
Consistently protect closing dates while managing complex conditions and lender requirements
Operate independently on non-traditional or nuanced files with minimal oversight
Improve pipeline predictability by reducing last-minute fire drills
In the First 90 Days
Fully own a high-volume pipeline end-to-end with consistent, on-time fundings
Be viewed as a go-to operator for tough files, escalations, and tight timelines
Contribute ideas to improve ARIVE workflows, lender interactions, or communication patterns
Experience Required
5+ years of mortgage loan processing experience
Direct experience operating in broker, wholesale, and non-delegated correspondent lending environments
Strong purchase-loan experience with tight contract and closing timelines
Proven ability to handle complex loan files (self-employed borrowers, layered assets, income nuance, appraisal or title challenges)
Demonstrated history of personally supporting high monthly loan volume
Hands-on ARIVE experience in a live production environment is nice to have
Comfort operating in growth-stage ambiguity with evolving processes
