Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and grow a book of personal lines business
Manage agency relationships and serve as lead client contact
Create and execute a marketing plan to increase new and renewal business
Underwrite, rate/broker, quote and bind each risk to determining acceptability, coverage, and pricing for renewals as well as new business and endorsements
Develop and submit underwriting referrals to company facilities and WSG management
Monitor key metrics to formulate corrective action impacting new business hit, renewal retention, premium growth, and loss ratio
Lead, train, and develop Associate Underwriters
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
3+ years of personal lines underwriting experience required, excess & surplus experience preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing
Interest in continued education and professional development
Travel if necessary to foster strong client relationships
