As a Water/Wastewater Account Executive, you will lead strategic sales efforts across municipal and industrial water sectors. You will manage key accounts, develop new business opportunities, and deliver Siemens solutions that enhance operational efficiency, sustainability, and infrastructure resilience. This role requires deep industry knowledge, strong technical acumen, and the ability to influence specifications and drive strategic growth. Candidate must be willing to travel 50% of the time. This role is remote, but the candidate must be located in the central or western United States for strategic purposes. You will make an impact by:

Develop and execute account strategies targeting municipal utilities, EPC firms, OEMs (especially pump and fan manufacturers), and engineering consultants. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the water industry, including public agencies, private operators, and design firms. Influence and drive specifications at engineering consultants (ECs) and EPCs to position Siemens technologies early in the project lifecycle. Interpret and respond to technical specifications and RFPs with precision and strategic insight. Collaborate with Siemens technical, product, and service teams to deliver customized solutions across automation, electrification, and digitalization portfolios. Lead complex sales cycles including proposal development, contract negotiation, and solution presentations. Represent Siemens at industry events such as WEFTEC and other relevant conferences to build brand presence and network with industry leaders. Stay current on regulatory trends, funding mechanisms, and emerging technologies in the water/wastewater sector. You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or related field. 8+ years of experience in sales or business development within the water/wastewater industry. Strong network of contacts within the water sector, including EPCs, OEMs, Industrial and municipal agencies. Proven ability to read and respond to technical specifications and influence project design. Experience calling on pump and fan OEMs and understanding their role in water infrastructure projects. Familiarity with SCADA, PLCs, drives, digital twin technologies, and energy efficiency solutions. Strategic thinking with the ability to translate customer needs into actionable solutions. Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with public-private partnerships or performance contracting. Knowledge of sustainability and decarbonization initiatives in water infrastructure. Technical certifications (e.g., PMP, PE, or relevant water industry credentials). Active participation in industry organizations and events (e.g., WEFTEC, AWWA, SWAN). About Siemens
