Basemakers is seeking a full-time, outside field sales and merchandising representative for one of our Florida territories, commuting daily among routes around Northbrook, Gurnee, Des Plaines. Our field representatives are the heartbeat of the organization. In this independent and collaborative role, you will visit approximately 6–8 grocery stores per day (e.g., Whole Foods, Jewel Osco, Fresh Market, Heinen's, Mariano’s), using the Basemakers Way to improve in-store presence for brands. You will work with brand products and grocery store decision-makers to become a trusted advisor and increase brand sales velocity through problem-solving. You will operate with integrity and represent both brands and Basemakers in the community. Responsibilities Work 100% of the time in the field from your vehicle, merchandising and selling for multiple brands in grocery stores. Visit every store on your specified route as required, typically 2–3 times per month. Work Monday–Friday, with hours starting early or no later than 9:00 AM. You may be asked to work weekends to make up time if necessary. Work independently with little supervision while collaborating with grocery store managers, brand representatives, and Basemakers’ Brand Partner Managers, District Managers, and Sales Directors. Capture brand data (e.g., photos, notes, forms) in-store for brand partners using mobile apps (Repsly, Slack, Gmail, Google Workspace). Take full ownership of in-store presence for our brands, including display execution, void filling, off-shelf placements, relationships with grocery managers, and effective merchandising and selling points. Understand in-store needs and assist store staff when applicable. Who You Are (Qualifications)

Strong problem-solving, analytical, influencing, and negotiation skills. Experience or ability to learn grocery store operations and nuances quickly. Experience in route sales, brand ambassadorship, brand vendor sales, merchandising, retail, or similar territory sales. Premium selling skills are preferred or a strong desire to learn and apply sales techniques. Passion to represent brand partners in natural, organic, and specialty food and beverage spaces. Track record of success in a self-directed environment. Strong communication across team members via smartphone apps and the internet. Ability to meet monthly KPIs and metrics set by supervisors. Professional demeanor when working with coworkers, distributors, retail representatives, and consumers. Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, vehicle registration, and auto insurance. Willingness to drive many miles daily in your own vehicle and transport promotional materials as needed. Capacity to perform physical requirements of the position with in-store tools. Field reps perform periodic moderate to high physical activity, including standing, walking, reaching, and grasping. You may need to climb ladders, bend, or kneel to move products. Ability to lift 10 lbs consistently and up to 50 lbs occasionally. Compensation
$60,256 OTE at average levels: $46,000 base salary plus $1,188 estimated average monthly commissions (range: $294 lows to $2,366 highs per month; commissions are uncapped). $350 monthly vehicle reimbursement. The commission amounts are based on the average attained over the last 12 months and are not guaranteed. Commission is based on personal performance in creating wins for brands through additional placements and exposure opportunities in stores. Benefits You'll Enjoy
