This department typically works between the hours of 7am-5pm Monday-Friday. After training, this position may be able to work hybrid/remote. Supervisory Duties:
None Summary : Prepares and processes residential mortgage loan applications through the loan approval and clearing of conditions for closing. Essential Duties
Obtain all required exhibits, documents, and verifications upon receipt of complete loan application and resolve discrepancies between applications and official verifications. Analyze all documentation to ensure adequacy and compliance with government agency, investor requirements and all Federal and State Regulations. Ability to read and analyze financial information, including but not limited to tax returns. Understand all mortgage products offered including calculation of payments, APRs and costs involved. Prepare loan file for underwriting ensuring compliance with established underwriting guidelines and policies. Prepare weekly pipeline reports. Prepare Pre-Closing Checklist. Ensure that all procedures are handled promptly and efficiently and inform supervisor of any current or potential problems. Maintain confidentiality of all client relationships with the Bank or its personnel. Maintain open, honest, and timely communications with immediate supervisor, management, and coworkers to promote teamwork and achieve the bank's goals. Promote positive client relations by being friendly, courteous, and responsive to clients. Participate in all scheduled meetings and training sessions when deemed necessary by management. Other Duties
Engage in personal development activities such as BAI courses and internal/external training to assist in growing in career. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to review and comprehend a variety of resources and information including financial information. Proofread and verify written materials. Ability to work independently, but also with others in a team environment. Strong oral and written communication skills. Proficient in Loan Prospector Advisor, Desktop Underwriter, Word, Excel, Outlook and general computer skills. Encompass experience preferred. Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. College Degree Preferred. Minimum of 2 years mortgage experience or related field. FHA and VA experience a plus. Skills:
