
The Sales Engineer is a mid-level technical sales support position reporting to the Technical Sales Manager. This role combines technical knowledge of power system protection engineering with sales support capabilities to help drive SynchroGrid's consulting and software business growth. The Sales Engineer acts as a technical liaison between customers and the sales team, providing product demonstrations, technical consultation during the sales process, and post-sale implementation support and account management.

Mid-Level (2-5 years professional experience) PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Pre-Sales Technical Support (50%) Identify and pursue new customers in target utility markets Develop high-quality proposals and quotations, including drafting technical scopes, for both software and engineering service sales Support development of regional territory and individual account strategies Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations of SARA software Create technical documentation and collateral for sales presentations Develop demonstration scenarios and use-cases tailored to customer needs Support proof-of-concept evaluations and trial implementations Participate in customer site visits to assess technical requirements Gain hands-on experience with the SARA software through client work in support of the Engineering Services consultancy business 2. Post-Sales Product and Service Implementation Support (30%) Lead account management efforts by strengthening client relationships Provide onboarding and initial training for new SARA software customers Support customers with software integration during initial adoption phase Troubleshoot basic technical issues and coordinate with engineering for complex problems Document customer implementation processes and best practices Create customer-facing technical guides and tutorial materials Gather customer feedback on product usability and feature requests 3. Sales Process Support (20%) Support achievement of annual revenue targets through active selling Perform outreach to potential clients via email, phone calls, social media, etc. Maintain and update technical content in CRM system (HubSpot) Track product demonstration schedules and follow-up activities Coordinate with engineering team on technical feasibility for custom requests Attend sales team meetings and provide technical input on opportunities Support marketing initiatives with technical content creation Support lead development by representing SynchroGrid at relay conferences and industry events Maintain competitive intelligence on software products in the market SOFTWARE PRODUCTS & ENGINEERING SERVICES TO SUPPORT
The Sales Engineer must develop working knowledge of SynchroGrid's catalog of software offerings and engineering services to be able to demonstrate, explain, and support each: SARA (Setting Automation Relay Assistant) Platform: SARA Core Platform - Database and settings management Transmission Line Module - Automated distance protection settings Auto-Transformer Module - Transformer protection calculations Relay Linking Services - Model-to-relay data integration Automation & Consulting Services: Automated NERC Compliance Modeling Custom Software Integration Implementation Support Substation Engineering Services: Protection and Control Studies Relay Settings and Coordination NERC PRC Compliance Services Substation Design and Engineering REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
