Then come join us! Job Description Trek Bicycle Corporation is looking for a Forecaster/Buyer to join our aftermarket team, based out of Waterloo, WI. The ideal candidate is a self-starter that enjoys crunching data, thinking outside the box, and building relationships. By leveraging data, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and participating in our forecasting review process, this role meets KPIs while making our customers wildly successful. This is a unique opportunity to own and manage several aspects of the supply chain in an evolving global business that only deals in products we love. This role is based out of Trek’s corporate headquarters in Waterloo, WI. A hybrid/on-site schedule is preferred but full remote is possible for the perfect candidate.
Responsibilities
Maintain product/category knowledge and stay abreast of current market trends Curate and maintain appropriate product assortment Manage product lifecycle, including part creation, attribute accuracy, pricing and margin structure Manage and report on rolling sales forecasts, purchasing plans, and related inventory levels to reach consensus Place and manage calculated and timely purchase orders to meet KPIs Generate and utilize reports with available business analytics tools Manage appropriate inventory levels across multiple warehouses Build partnerships and maintain vendor relations, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, make your customers wildly successful Operate with a high sense of urgency and provide best-in-the-world customer service Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree 2-5 years of demand planning and/or buying experience Self-starting, proactive approach to problem solving, with strong verbal and written communication skills The ability to think critically and analyze the ‘why’ behind data Strong Microsoft Excel skills along with other Microsoft Office experience Demonstrated competency in ERP, Demand Planning systems Experience working cross-functionally in a team-oriented environment while also being able to think and work independently Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple ongoing projects with minimal supervision Humility to ask for help when you need it and escalate issues appropriately Technical knowledge of bicycles preferred but not required Occasional domestic travel
