Job Description
We are seeking a talented BIM Designer to assist in developing strategies to integrate BIM Modeling into Design and Prefabrication. This role involves reviewing and fixing clashes with other trades, participating in coordination meetings, and working closely with BIM Managers and Project Managers to resolve issues. The ideal candidate will analyze project BIM requirements, model projects at a 500 Level of Design (LOD), and ensure coordination with other trades to prevent obstructions. Additionally, the role includes identifying BIM lessons learned and participating in educational meetings, following BIM standards, performing site surveys, and creating submittal documents.
Responsibilities
Develop strategies to integrate BIM Modeling into Design and Prefabrication. Review and fix clashes with other trades and participate in coordination meetings. Work closely with BIM Managers and Project Managers to resolve issues. Analyze project BIM requirements and identify early strategies for successful BIM/detailing implementation. Model and coordinate projects at a 500 Level of Design (LOD). Ensure coordination with other trades to prevent obstructions. Identify BIM lessons learned and participate in educational meetings. Follow BIM standards and implementation plans on projects. Perform site surveys and field measurement work as needed. Create and revise submittal documents. Perform other related duties to ensure efficient project completion.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in BIM, Revit, Navisworks, and Drafting. Experience with construction and modeling. Ability to create construction documents.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Minimum of two years\' experience in the construction industry. Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks software. Experience with BIM360 and/or Autodesk Cloud is an advantage.
Work Environment
As a Building Information Modeling Technician, you will be responsible for advanced modeling and creating working shop drawings used for shop fabrication and field installation on various construction projects. The role requires coordination of drawings and collaboration with Project Managers, Vendors, Engineers, and Field Personnel. You will utilize Autodesk software and various 3rd party software where applicable. The company is family-owned, offering exciting work in the data center space with opportunities for leadership roles. The BIM team consists of a manager and three additional BIM Designers, focusing on local projects and expanding into new markets. Pay And Benefits
