Overview The

Corporate Communications & Media Specialist

will report to the Chief People Officer and will lead the development and execution of our organization's internal communications strategy. This role is essential for fostering a transparent, engaged, and aligned workforce by ensuring employees are informed, motivated, and connected to the company's goals, values, and initiatives. You will collaborate with senior leadership, HR, and cross-functional teams to deliver clear, consistent messaging across various channels.

*We are not looking for a senior resource in PR, Crisis Management, and Media. This role will be ideal for a associate level resource with 1-5 years of experience*

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills (written & presentation) as well as how to communicate on social media platforms,

most importantly, LinkedIn .

Responsibilities

An overview of your responsibilities:

Communication Strategy -

Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communications strategy aligned with organizational objectives and culture.

Manage Internal Communication Channels

- Create and manage engaging content for internal channels, including newsletters, intranets, emails, town halls, videos, podcasts, and social collaboration tools.

LinkedIn

– Create content for the Company’s LinkedIn page as well as posts that support the growth of the organization. This might include creating an employee spotlight for the site, as well as improving our postings on the site.

Intranet - Maintain the Company intranet that supplies relevant information to the organization. This will include the development of content as well as ensuring that the site stays current and is never stale.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including site leadership, senior management, and the HR team, in the development of content to support the development of the organization.

Business Transformation

– Develop communications to support the Company’s business transformation work.

First 12 Months

In the first 12 months, the successful candidate will need to understand the current business model, the challenges of developing new products and processes, and the general direction of the Company. Also, he/she will focus on the following accountabilities:

Develop a calendar for corporate communications

and the appropriate content, including newsletters, webinars, and other media, to drive employee engagement.

Onboarding Project

– Create video and written content to improve the onboarding process of new employees.

Intranet –

Bring the internal intranet to life; this will include the refinement of functional subsites, as well as providing industry news to the organization.

Document Review

- Handbooks, Code of Conduct, and other internal documents reviewed to improve content and presentation.

Marketing Collaboration

– work with our PR and Marketing team to develop press releases and other materials that support the growth of the Company.

Assist in the learning and development program

– including the development of content to incorporate in the UDEMY platform that the Company currently uses.

What you'll need

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a communications specialist and excel at storytelling using multiple media. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to execute at a tactical level but also be able to lead and participate in strategic-level work. They must be detail-oriented, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects at the same time.

Experience:

Up to 5 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, public relations, or a similar role. Proven track record of developing and executing successful internal communications strategies.

Technical Skills:

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong editing and storytelling abilities. Proficiency in digital tools such as Microsoft Office, content management systems (e.g., intranet platforms), email tools, and basic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva). Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
