Operating out of a state-of-the-art operational facility, practicing rigid HACCP and USDA quality initiatives, Kabobs' team of culinary professionals have created an expansive menu offering consisting of a database capturing over a thousand unique recipes. The Business Development Manager is responsible for contributing to the profitable growth at Kabobs. This role will focus on developing Foodservice business opportunities for our appetizers, breakfast items, sides & entrees (includes classic recipes in addition to vegan, vegetarian, Gluten Friendly & plant-based offerings). Will be responsible for identifying and qualifying target customers and partnering with the Sales team to grow revenue with target customers.

Core Responsibilities
Lead sales development (opportunity development and execution) of product offerings to customers and prospects, including effective introduction of new products and ordering processes to obtain new business. Identify and research new/ under-served customers in collaboration with the sales-team and create new opportunities with these customers with the goal of increasing revenue and/or the size of the opportunity pipeline. Where appropriate, directly manage account relationships in alignment with or under direction of sales management. Explore customer needs and new markets to generate value for the customer and the company. Lead business development discussions with customers, R&D, and sales management as needed, to establish solutions for opportunities. Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of the food market and the competitive environment to facilitate business development efforts. Pro-actively provide market and competitive intelligence to appropriate internal teams. Support the sales team with a high-level understanding of the Kabobs portfolio, its value propositions and available resources, functioning as the subject matter expert including for new product launches. Ensure close alignment with other brands regarding business plans, campaigns, and market development opportunities. Network at industry events to build knowledge and identify new prospects and lead the follow up of trade show leads applicable their segment of territory. Requirements
Bachelors’ Degree in business, sales, or related field and 5+ years of related experience. Or, 10+ years of direct, related experience in lieu of degree. Significant direct and practical customer-facing business development, sales, marketing and/or technical experience in food or specialty ingredients. Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written, gravitas and relationship building capabilities. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills required. Working knowledge of food and related industries’ product development and sales cycles. Must possess the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all internal and external stakeholders. Available to travel domestically approximately 60% or more.
