About the Role As an Enterprise Account Executive, Public Sector at Motive, you are responsible for developing and closing business with Motive’s largest State, Local, and Education prospects. You will lead the charge in selling the value of our products and the business outcomes achievable in partnership with Motive. The solutions Motive brings to market align well with Public Sector priorities and values.

You will be entrepreneurial, thoughtfully aggressive, and able to articulate the value Motive brings to the Public Sector market. You are receptive to feedback, eager to learn, technically adept, and detail-oriented. The role requires a collaborative Go-to-Market mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high standards of quality.

What you’ll do

Establish, develop, and grow new business relationships with influential contacts within lighthouse Public Sector accounts

Identify, partner, and develop account plans for Motive’s Public Sector prospects, focusing on delivering the best value to customers

Leverage executive relationships to drive RFP wins and grow contractual-based business

Demonstrate strong experience with complex proof of concepts or trials

Partner with Sales Engineering, Product, and Software Engineering to provide feedback on product or security gaps

Collaborate with the account team and leverage analytics to optimize buying decisions

Resolve problems by identifying issues, thinking critically, and implementing effective solutions

Work with technical resources to showcase integrations and the value of Motive’s ecosystem

Plan effectively to meet and exceed ongoing business goals and revenue quotas

Develop a deep understanding of Motive’s technology platform and operations to inform iterations

Study market trends to enable consultative insight

About you

You have deep enterprise sales experience selling into the world’s largest Public Sector organizations

5+ years of selling a SaaS/Technology product into Public Sector prospects

Telematics, SaaS, and logistics experience is a plus

You have a proven track record of exceeding quotas and growing your book of business

You can build rapport with executive decision-makers and articulate value propositions

You work independently with a data-driven mindset to chart short, medium, and long-term sales goals

You have strong communication skills and can manage objections effectively

The compensation range for this position depends on location and on-target earnings (base pay + commissions) are shown for the Bay Area, California and Other Locations in the U.S.

Bay Area, California: $260,000 — $350,000 USD

Other Locations in U.S.: $260,000 — $350,000 USD
