The RVP is in charge of achieving revenue and profit goals, Member satisfaction objectives and managing the implementation of key operational strategies. This role is primarily focused on ensuring priorities and objectives are clearly defined, understood, communicated and insure our field teams are empowered to create a consistent brand experience. This individual should have strong strategic thinking and leadership qualities, with relentless focus on improving the core operations at each property. The RVP reports to the EVP.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and participate in the development of operational strategies, goals and budgets for each marina based on company objectives
Promote a culture of accountability and collaboration to meet or exceed regional and company goals related to revenue, profitability and Member/brand experience
Review and interpret financial and/or operational reports regularly, identify underperforming properties and develop operational strategies for improvement
Coach General Managers as needed to build and monitor budgets for their marinas and projects
Hold teammates accountable for P&L and work with General Managers to meet their financial goals
Lead and engage diverse teams and influence direct reports to achieve operational objectives
Ensure consistent execution of priorities and objectives across the region
Manage acquisition of new marinas and ensure seamless transition for new employees
Mentor General Managers as they build relationships with external constituencies (e.g. Members, government officials, HOAs)
Solve complex challenges that arise in collaboration with the operations team and corporate office
Ensure proper validation of occupancy reporting for entire region
Partner with the integrations and training team to effectively integrate new properties to the company and region
Conduct routine site visits and ensure prompt filing of reports to COO
Focus on talent development and succession planning to ensure the region is well positioned for future growth
Oversee relationships with commercial tenants and ensure tenants are accretive to the brand experience
Follow Safe Harbor's member services policy to provide the utmost level of professionalism and hospitality to all Members
Ensure all marina property and assets are maintained, monitored and presented in accordance with Safe Harbor standards and policies
Other duties as assigned by Manager
Safety & Environmental Responsibilities Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training. Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area. Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.
Technical and Physical Requirements
Bachelors Degree or equivalent in progressive work experience
Minimum of five (5) years experience in operations experience
Multi-property management experience preferred
Exceptional business acumen, analytical skills and decision-making ability
Strong organization skills in order to manage multiple projects with moving parts
Ability to work independently and multi-task, prioritizing as appropriate
Ability to travel
Ability to work a flexible, full time schedule including days, evenings, weekends
Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
Any skills considered standard that a Regional Vice President should possess
