Print Designer - Kid's Apparel

Our client, a children’s apparel manufacturer, is seeking a Print Designer to join their New York City based team!

Additional Responsibilities

Create original artwork for all-over prints and patterns

Develop and maintain seasonal print libraries

Execute colorways and artwork scaling

Maintain and deliver files of production ready artwork

Present art to both design and merchandising teams

Keep up to date on new trends in kids market

Adjust artwork as needed for execution across different fabrics and mills

Handle quality checks of artwork

Collaborate with the design team to manage art deadlines and ensure that prints are in line with customer image and aesthetic

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree textile, surface, or graphic design

3-6 years of relevant print experience

Expert photoshop and illustrator skills

Expert understanding of color theory and print execution

Understanding of factory printing limitations and embellishment techniques

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment

Proactive team player with strong initiative
