As an Outbound Business Telesales Representative on Spectrum's SMB team, you will engage outbound B2B prospects and existing customers, promoting Spectrum Business Internet, Voice, Video and Mobile solutions. Conduct outbound calls to new and existing business prospects, introducing and selling Spectrum Business products and services Consistently achieve or surpass monthly sales quotas by securing new lines of service and upselling to current customers Meet daily and weekly activity targets, including outbound calls, follow-ups, quotes and sales conversions Communicate product features, pricing and competitive advantages clearly and professionally to build trust and rapport Serve as a knowledgeable product consultant, recommending tailored solutions to meet business needs Ensure accurate documentation of interactions and sales activities in CRM systems Balance lead generation with effective follow-up strategies to maximize conversion rates and customer satisfaction Working Conditions
Office call center environment Seated for extended periods while using a telephone headset and computer with multiple screens Exposure to moderate noise levels What You Will Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications Education High school diploma or general education degree required (GED) Experience 2+ years of call center experience or 1+ year in a sales or marketing role Skills Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Proven experience in outbound telemarketing or sales with a track record of meeting targets Knowledge of telecommunications products and services Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills with the ability to quickly build rapport Proficiency in CRM software and call center technology Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and work independently and collaboratively with others Proficient in MS Office and job-specific software applications Preferred Qualifications
Education Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field Experience 2+ years of customer service or telecommunication sales experience 1+ year of B2B sales experience or similar role, preferably in telecommunications or cable 1+ year of experience with ICOMS, CSG or similar billing software Skills Ability to turn cold calls into productive sales conversations with business clients Advanced negotiation and contract skills Familiarity with cable and internet services and industry trends Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving abilities Willingness to learn new products, services and sales techniques Positive, proactive attitude and ability to adapt to new challenges Team-oriented mindset, contributing to shared goals A qualified applicant's criminal history, if any, will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws, including local ordinances.
