Overview
The Opportunity Joining the Monetization team & reporting to Head of Monetization, the Sales Revenue & Monetization Manager will ensure that Samsung makes sound strategic decisions based on analysis and critical thinking, backed up by data. While this position is part of the broader Commercialization Team, the position will work cross functionally and closely with sales management to track business metrics and develop financial processes and reporting for the Smart TV Ad business. He/she will work closely across Sales, Ad Operations, Headquarters, subsidiary Finance Teams, Engineering and Product to ensure a full end-to-end financial support on all aspects of the business. This position is located in NYC and may require occasional domestic & international travel. Responsibilities
Serve as a key point of contact for SCS sales teams, providing support on packages, strategies, and operational support Closely monitor and report on sales KPIs (meetings, qualified interactions, pipeline generation) as well as look for trends and insights to surface to leadership Assist in pacing and forecasting to ensure alignment with sales targets and business goals Identify and resolve internal obstacles to enhance team efficiency and productivity Coordinate closely with SCS sales team on monetization and packaging efforts to optimize revenue output Incorporate market trends and competitive insights to help guide the sales team (TAM, headroom) Assist with Upfront negotiations and JVP deal structures each fiscal and broadcast year Focus on sales operations support and CRM optimization to remove friction in day-to-day sales efforts Articulate sales packaging and monetization initiatives to sales team, ideate on refinement of concepts Collaborate with broader team on updates to sales pipeline and deal progressions as well as flagging gaps to goal or misses in sales plans Identify new revenue opportunities through partnership with sales team and ancillary Product teams within Samsung Monitor sales account list for threshold shifts in account ownership between teams for correct assignments Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative strategies for revenue generation Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience: 6+ years of business experience; some part of time in financial or revenue operations function in technology or digital media industry Must be task driven & can produce and hit key deadlines in a fast-paced environment Deep understanding of the digital advertising space, with knowledge of programmatic landscape, Connected TV & upcoming technologies, industry trends, and major players Ability to manage and work effectively within cross-functional and matrix relationships Strong analytical skills Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, in Business, Finance or Accounting MBA a plus but not required Experience working in a like role or in a finance team Experience working in media & technology company; preferably digital media business Proficient in Korean language a plus Leadership presence: Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills Attention to detail, ability to multitask and strong organizational skills required The salary range for this role will vary among specific regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market, and actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role. However, the salary ranges in the following regions are expected to be as follows: $120,000 to $180,000
