THE ROLE: Account Manager, Influencer Marketing
Overview As the partner marketing landscape evolves, Acceleration Partners leads the charge in influencer programs at scale within affiliate channels. This role is responsible for managing the client relationship and developing and executing influencer program strategy, including recruitment, content, communication, incentive, and optimization strategies focused on monetization of content across social media. Strategies are customized to each client’s goals and objectives.
The successful candidate will have experience developing and end-to-end managing KPI-driven influencer marketing campaigns for consumer products and/or services. They will analyze program data to identify performance trends, negotiate media packages with influencers, and manage longer-term contracts. They should be proficient with the broader partner marketing landscape, including affiliate, and capable of both developing strategy and leading a team to execute. The role requires a self-starter who can balance competing priorities and adapt to challenging situations.
Responsibilities
PROGRAM STRATEGY & EXECUTION – Develop custom influencer strategies and tactical plans to achieve client goals. Monitor program performance, budget spend, and pacing in real time. Proactively present strategic recommendations to optimize performance and spend. Stay informed on influencer industry trends and apply insights to strategy.
CLIENT SERVICE & COMMUNICATION – Provide superior client service, act as primary contact, escalate issues or risks as appropriate. Build strong client relationships and deliver outputs and communications in the AP way. Aim for high client satisfaction and retention (target average rating 8.5).
REPORTING & ANALYSIS – Use data to draw relevant conclusions, identify trends, and provide client insights and recommendations. Analyze influencer program performance across top-of-funnel metrics (impressions, engagement, CPM) and mid-to-lower funnel metrics (CTR, CVR, Revenue, ROI) to present a full-funnel view. Educate clients on these areas when needed.
INFLUENCER PARTNERSHIP OPTIMIZATION – Design recruitment, communication, content, incentive, and optimization strategies to foster long-term creator partnerships and drive lower-funnel value (site traffic, revenue, ROI). Negotiate longer-term media packages and manage fixed-fee investments. Address client questions on alignment, monetization, and ROI. Train and develop influencers on affiliate best practices within campaigns and the broader affiliate landscape.
PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT – Manage multiple influencer programs with strong organizational skills, prioritizing tasks based on client objectives. Know each client’s scope of work, deliver on terms, and push back when needed. Identify new opportunities and address misalignments, bringing proactive solutions.
What Success Looks Like BY 2 MONTHS
– Clear understanding of each client’s goals, target market, and strategic approach for their influencer programs. Build strong client relationships, serve as main point of contact, and oversee deliverables and program operations. Become familiar with AP tools and the wider affiliate landscape. 70% of actions conducted independently; escalate challenges as needed.
BY 4 MONTHS
– Manage a portfolio of clients with minimal guidance. 90% of actions conducted independently. Analyze client data to optimize outcomes. Maintain profitable service and meet client KPIs, aiming for an average client rating of 8.5.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills
4+ years in influencer marketing agency or brand, managing client and/or creator relationships
Understanding of full-funnel influencer strategies including flat fee and affiliate models
Solid understanding of omni-channel and direct-to-consumer marketing with successful influencer campaigns
Advanced Excel and ability to format, create formulas, and generate reports
Excellent at communicating, presenting, and obtaining client approvals on campaigns
Working knowledge of digital marketing attribution
Experience with tools (CreatorIQ, Grin, Izea, etc.) preferred
Knowledge of Affiliate Networks or SaaS platforms (Impact, ShareASale, CJ) preferred
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Ability to travel up to 15%
