Responsibilities / Position overview Lumanity is seeking intellectually curious, team-oriented individuals eager to roll up their sleeves and help biopharma clients address their most important challenges as part of our Strategy Consulting practice. As an engagement manager, you will gain exposure to a wide range of projects across the pharma and biotech product life cycle, ranging from pre-commercial strategy and pipeline prioritization to the design of patient support programs and new product launches.

You will play a key role in both project execution and case team leadership by leveraging your experience and expertise to deliver high-quality work while providing direction to case teams and fostering client relationships. As a member of the management team, you will also help to shape the strategic direction of the firm by supporting and eventually leading business development efforts and making significant contributions to internal initiatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day activities of multiple, concurrent project teams across therapeutic areas, value chains, and project types, including guiding the work of others and fostering a team environment

Structure overall project work plan and resource allocation, involving both qualitative and quantitative research and analysis

Act as a valued thought leader and primary point of contact with senior-level clients

Communicate insights and recommendations to clients, working directly with them to shape their thinking on case and broader organizational issues

Support business development efforts and initiatives, including capability presentations and proposal writing

Make significant contributions to internal firm initiatives to continuously improve efficiency, quality of work, and/or overall firm culture

Mentor and coach junior staff in formal and informal situations

Qualifications

Advanced degree (PhD/post-doc, MD, MBA, 2-year master’s) in a life sciences or health-related field and 4+ years of full-time experience in the life sciences consulting or biopharma industry OR bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of direct and relevant life sciences consulting experience

Experience leading work streams and multiple teams simultaneously

Experience developing relationships with senior-level life science executives

Demonstrated quantitative aptitude

Solid critical thinking ability

Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills

Periodic travel may be required
