
Director, Operations – Global Corporate

The Director of Commercial Operations will serve as a key strategic leader driving operational excellence and commercial performance across GLG’s Corporate & Law business. This management role is responsible for shaping and executing global operational strategies, optimizing sales processes, and enabling revenue growth through data-driven insights and innovation. This leader will oversee territory design, account planning, pipeline governance, and operational frameworks that scale across regions. Additionally, this leader will spearhead one or more global Centers of Excellence to ensure best practices, consistency, and continuous improvement across all commercial operations functions.
Key Responsibilities
Business-aligned Strategy: Defineand implement global commercial operations strategy aligned withGLGbusinessobjectives.
Transformation Initiatives: Lead one or more global Centers of Excellence to drive standardization, share best practices, and foster innovation across regions and business segments.
Performance Management: Partner with senior leadership to support monthly and quarterly business reviews,providingactionable insights for strategic decision-making. Ensuredashboards appropriately track revenue, pipeline, and operational KPIsfor Corporate & Law. (Development of dashboards will be managed by another team). Maintainregular meetingcadence with Leaders.
Go-to-MarketExecution: Operationalizenew commercial/pricing strategies.Coordinatenew product andworkflow tool(e.g., Client View)introductionworking collaboratively with Product, Marketing,Expert Management teams.
Process Improvements: Continuously evaluate and refine commercial processes to improve scalability, efficiency, and impact.Drive initiatives that enhance the productivity and engagement of client-facing professionals. Collaborate withLeadershiptodetermineownership based on relevance and strategic priorities.
Territory Design & Management: Develop andmaintainterritory structures– working with Sales leadership –to ensure balanced coverage and growth opportunitieseach Corporate & Law subsegment. Monitor territory performance and recommend adjustments based on market trends and business priorities.
Pipeline Review & Forecasting: Support regular pipeline reviews with Sales leadership to ensure accuracy and health of the pipeline. Build on existing processes to enhance visibility and discipline in pipeline management.Explore opportunities to evolve current practices.
Account Planning Support: Partner with Leadership tofacilitateannual and quarterly account planning processes.
DataInsights: Providedata-driven insights toidentifygrowth opportunities and prioritize strategic accounts.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in commercial operations, sales operations, or business operations roles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel, and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Program Management: Skilled in designing and executing transformation programs.
Collaboration& Influence Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams. This is an IC role.

$153,400 — $200,000 USD
