About the Ministry: The Children’s Ministry at First Pres includes weekly Sunday School, seasonal events, and Vacation Bible School, serving 54 children overall, with 20–25 children attending on an average Sunday and 85 children participating in VBS. The ministry functions as an important onramp into the broader life of the church and plays a key role in welcoming new families.
This ministry is supported by a dedicated team of approximately 44 volunteers and is uniquely positioned for growth. With an onsite preschool serving nearly 150 children ages 2–5, growing energy in the early worship service, and multiple touchpoints throughout the year for engaging families, this is an environment ready for a leader to bring vision, structure, and warmth to children’s ministry.
