
Overview
The Marketing Specialist will help manage the day-to-day strategic marketing initiatives of the local Network Office (NO) and select financial advisors within the Milwaukee market.
Support Marketing leadership in the development and execution of all firm-wide internal and external marketing events, supports select financial advisors while serving as a consistent partner to the Northwestern Mutual corporate offices. Help the NO drive financial advisor productivity, revenue and market presence through implementation of marketing strategies, tactics, and Northwestern Mutual brand expansion efforts.

Responsibilities For the Network Office
Lead tactical execution of Marketing Plan
Operate within guidelines of Marketing Budget
Plan and execute small to large scale marketing events
Execute procedural tracking and measuring of marketing program’s impact and overall ROI
Identify and lead marketing education and training (workshops and webinars) to select financial advisors, their marketing team and the network office
Support execution of internal brand-building events
Provide support for local public relations, advertising and philanthropic efforts
Lead tactical execution of strategic client and prospect engagement activities
Manage activities within individual advisor/practice marketing budget
Assist in leading regularly scheduled marketing consultations to help drive marketing plans, client segmentation and overall marketing integration
Qualifications
2-5 years marketing and event experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications preferred
Comfortable leading teams and individuals toward goals, utilizing interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize and take independent action to make sound decisions with minimal oversight
Ability to work effectively with people at all levels; maintain confidentiality
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media technologies (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter)
Previous experience in financial services a plus
Occasional night/weekend projects as determined by event schedule
