Job Summary The Copywriter develops clear, compelling, and engaging written content across multiple platforms to support brand voice, marketing strategies, and customer engagement goals. This role collaborates with marketing, design, product, and leadership teams to create messaging that informs, motivates, and converts target audiences.

Essential Duties

Write, edit, and proofread copy for websites, emails, social media, print materials, product descriptions, ads, and internal communications.

Develop messaging that aligns with brand guidelines, voice, and tone standards.

Conduct research on products, services, industry trends, and audience insights to support accurate and persuasive content.

Collaborate with designers, marketers, and stakeholders to brainstorm and develop creative concepts.

Convert complex or technical information into clear, accessible language.

Optimize digital copy for SEO, readability, engagement, and conversion.

Develop and maintain content calendars, campaign messaging, and project schedules.

Ensure consistency and quality across all written content.

Participate in content reviews, incorporate feedback, and revise copy as needed.

Monitor content performance and refine messaging based on data and analytics.

Support larger marketing initiatives, campaigns, product launches, and brand messaging updates.

Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitor messaging, and emerging communication strategies.

Qualifications Education

Required : High School or GED

Preferred : 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience) from an accredited university.

Experience

Required: 2 years of professional copywriting experience in marketing, communications, content creation, or a related field.

2 years of experience writing for multiple channels (web, social, email campaigns, advertising).

2 years of experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (design, product, sales, marketing).

2 years of experience managing multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred : 2 years of experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, HubSpot).

2 years of experience developing content for B2B, B2C, or industry-specific audiences (tech, healthcare, manufacturing, etc.).

Honorably discharged service veterans are preferred.

Strong understanding of marketing communication principles and brand strategy.

Knowledge of SEO best practices and digital content optimization.

Familiarity with CMS and marketing automation tools.

Understanding of social media platforms, audience behaviors, and content formats.

Aware of industry trends and competitive positioning relevant to the brand.

Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with high attention to detail.

Ability to craft persuasive, concise, and audience-focused messaging.

Strong research and analytical skills for content development.

Ability to adapt tone and style across different channels and audiences.

Proficiency in organizing and managing multiple projects and deadlines.

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, and product.

Competence in using grammar, style guides, and copywriting frameworks (AIDA, PAS, storytelling, etc.).

Ability to translate complex concepts into simple, clear language.

Ability to maintain brand voice consistency across all content.

Strong creative problem-solving and conceptual thinking abilities.

Ability to respond to feedback constructively and revise content efficiently.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.

Ability to incorporate data insights to improve content performance.

Ability to interpret content performance metrics and apply insights to improve engagement and conversion.

Familiarity with project management tools and ability to manage timelines effectively.

Understanding of legal and compliance considerations in marketing content.

Must be able to fluently speak, write, and read in English.
