Your Role: As our Short Form Editor, you’re not just making clips, you’re a viral storyteller and a retention wizard. You are the “top of funnel” engine of our daily content, transforming long‑form content into smaller, high‑impact videos that stop the scroll and capture new audiences.
Our videos move beyond views, likes, and follows. They become powerful, bite‑size lessons that introduce people to true spiritual life.
You are an owner. You will be responsible for taking raw footage from a multitude of content types (live events, podcasts, prison ministry, livestreams, sermons, vlogs, etc) and editing a high volume of videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. You must be highly capable at finding the “hook” and creating highly retentive short form stories.
What You’ll Do:
Own the entire short‑form editing process, transforming raw podcast footage into a pipeline of polished, high‑engagement videos that drive our daily content schedule.
Lead the creative execution, mining content across our entire library to find the best hooks and tell addictive short‑form stories that stop the scroll.
Constantly find new ways to level up our content, using every tool under your belt (music, VFX, SFX, kinetic text, etc.) to create magic in the edit and drive retention.
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days): Objective 1: Deliver Viral‑Ready Clips That Grow Our Reach.
You contribute to hitting 30M–50M+ monthly views across platforms.
Your average views per clip increase month‑over‑month.
Good: 300–400k/clip
Great: 500–750k/clip
Beast: 1M+/clip
Objective 2: Execute with speed and precision within our production system.
Achieve a 100% on‑time delivery rate for all final edits.
Demonstrate mastery of our brand and tone, requiring less than 3 revision rounds per video after the first month.
Your Core Responsibilities (These should be A‑Player outcomes, not just tasks):
High‑Volume Editing: Edit 20–30 short‑form videos/month across TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.
Storytelling: Transform long‑form raw footage into addictive short‑form clips with a strong hook, clear pacing, and a powerful payoff.
Creative Enhancement: Add motion graphics, kinetic text, music, and sound design to punch up retention and match platform style.
Content Mining: Mine content across our library (podcasts, sermons, livestreams, etc.) for high‑leverage moments.
Trend Analysis: Constantly research and present new styles, sounds, and formats that we can adapt for our content.
Performance Feedback: Analyze which hooks and styles are performing best and apply those learnings to future edits.
Creative Ideation: Pitch original short‑form video ideas based on your understanding of our content and the platforms.

Non‑negotiable Requirements (Skills & Experience)
Must provide a strong portfolio of short‑form video work (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) that demonstrates an ability to create viral, engaging content.
Proven ability to take raw footage and create a captivating story without needing tons of oversight.
Deep understanding of short‑form platforms (TikTok, IG Reels, YT Shorts) and what makes people stop scrolling.
You can clearly identify what makes a good short‑form video (vs. a bad one).
Expert‑level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
Must be proficient in the following:
Project Management: ClickUp, Notion (Basic knowledge)
Review Software: Frame.io (Basic knowledge)
Utilities: DropBox, Basic Server File Management.
This Role Is NOT For You If:
You have not consistently hit over 1M+ views on your edited videos
You need lots of hand‑holding & are bad at time management.
You are not great at working on a few projects at once
You are not great at communicating across a team.
You have never done this role before and think you can accomplish this based on “work ethic” or “similar experience”.
You prefer comfort over growth (we all work extremely hard).
Compensation: Phase 1 (60 days): $50–$100 per video test (dependent on skill level)
