Job Responsibilities: Work directly with the sales and service teams on any service-related project Responsible for estimating service-related projects from start to finish. Research and forecast material, labor, and equipment pricing and provide detailed and accurate service estimates Review project specifications and drawings and perform full project take-offs to determine the scope and requirements of service jobs. Generate project estimates that align with company sales, revenue, and gross profit goals. Analyze alternative solutions and methods to increase competitiveness of bids. Operate with a thorough understanding of company procedures, estimating techniques, engineering means & methods, materials, construction techniques, and service & repair capabilities. Establish and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and consultants Travel to job sites to collect required data needed to generate competitive estimates Travels to job sites to assess the progress of projects, attend meetings, and perform site investigations as needed. Proactively engage with customers to generate additional business Work with sales and service to develop and implement tools and strategies for successful job completion Maintain and communicate project timelines and schedules with our sales, service, administrative, and finance departments. Manage and track service activities related to in-shop and field equipment repair Manage all aspects of service scheduling from the time a job is scheduled through invoicing Perform weekly follow-up calls with our customers to ensure their satisfaction with our services. Communicate with sales team to ensure efficient equipment start-up and sales support. Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness, the ability to plan and manage work in an efficient manner, and the ability to work well under stress and time pressures. Ability to participate in solving difficult technical issues requiring a broad knowledge related to technical /functional responsibilities. Ability to apply independent judgment to determine a course of action consistent with the organization’s established and functional policies and goals. Ensures project quality control activities are in place and adhered to. Ensure that all required documentation for all service activities is completed including time reports, start-up, and inspection documents, daily sheets, and all other information necessary Acts as an interface with customers, manufacturers, and company employees; communicates with clients on an ongoing basis; responds effectively to meet client’s needs. Utilizes company system to effectively track, document and manage responsibilities. Provides leadership and maintains a positive environment and high morale. Track deliverables and timelines. Perform all duties with a safety-first mentality Must demonstrate leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Provide monthly forecasts to management team Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, technical degree or commensurate experience (preferred) 10+ years of industry experience in the municipal and/or commercial & industrial industries 5+ years of experience as an estimator for service or construction related projects Motivated, Positive attitude, Attention to detail, Problem Solver and Team oriented Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Project Management experience is preferred Must be willing to travel as needed to successfully perform this role Individual must be trustworthy with proprietary and confidential information High energy level and the ability to inspire and motivate a team Understands and abides by all company and industry related processes and regulations.
