Job Summary As a key member of our management team, the Director of Rehab will be responsible for overseeing the Rehabilitation department at Terraces of Lake Worth Care Center, a premier sub‑acute medical care and rehabilitation facility in Lake Worth, FL. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a passion for helping patients achieve their highest level of function and independence.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction and oversight to the Rehabilitation department, ensuring high-quality patient care and rehabilitation services
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient
Recruit, train, and manage a team of licensed therapists, including OTs, PTs, and SLPs
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes staff engagement and retention
Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, hospitals, and community resources to ensure seamless transitions and patient referrals
Manage department budgets, including labor, supplies, and equipment
Conduct quality improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices
Participate in activities that promote the center's mission and values, including providing exceptional customer service and advocacy for patients and families
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech‑Language Pathology)
Minimum 5 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting, with a strong clinical background
Current licensure or certification as an OT, PT, or SLP
Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising staff and managing budgets
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients as needed
