Overview
The selected candidate will support the preparation of invoices for southbound shipments to companies in Mexico under the maquila program, maintain contact with Mexican and American brokers as operations proceed, and work closely with the shipping and traffic departments. Knowledge of FTZ and IN BOND status is a plus. Responsibilities
Process Customs documents for Southbound shipments through the Customs system 2TS. Create the RHC Form for finished goods returned to Mexican plants for rework and follow up. Audit export documentation package (Customs Section) to ensure all documents are issued properly. Contact Mexican Customs Departments (Aduanas CONTEC, ATR, K&S) and request Pedimento Number. Follow up shipments of chemical products with Customs Brokers and provide the MSDS if available. Coordinate shipments of machinery, equipment, tooling and other indirect material with MRO staff. Provide Customs clearance instructions to Brokers and Forwarders. Assist Customs Coordinator in the efficient operation of the tasks assigned to Customs Department. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Associate degree required. 3 to 5 years of work experience with maquiladora import/export operations. Must be able to handle stressful situations and time constraints.
