Location: Maryland (with ability to work across assigned district)

Description: The Maryland Senate Dems are one of the most successful and effective legislative caucuses nationwide. Our sustainable and centralized model serves as a gold standard for legislative caucuses across the country. The Senate Democratic Caucus is seeking campaign managers to help lead campaign efforts in targeted districts to retain and expand the Democratic majority in the Maryland Senate.

Strong applicants will be enthusiastic, hardworking, and ready to learn. This is an excellent opportunity for early career staffers looking to build strong foundational campaign skills. Please note that this is a cycle-based role and that the position is for the 2026 election only.

Responsibilities:

Work with the Executive Director, Deputy, and Candidate to build an aggressive and effective campaign in a targeted district.

Oversee field campaign including cutting turf, recruiting and training volunteers.

Staff events, assist with fundraising efforts, and manage endorsement questionnaire process.

Coordinate with consultants and help to execute paid media strategy.

Monitor cash flow and ensure the campaign remains on budget.

Maintain campaign social media accounts.

Handle operations and logistical tasks as needed.

Solve problems and help to keep campaign moving forward.

Qualifications:

One cycle of campaign experience. Individuals who have internship and fellow experience on campaigns are also encouraged to apply.

Ability to manage competing priorities and work with multiple supervisors.

Good attitude, willingness to tackle difficult challenges, and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of partners.

Experience supervising or managing volunteers or staff in a field campaign.

Knowledge of VoteBuilder, NGP, Mobilize, and other campaign tools is a plus.

This role will require regular travel to various locations across Maryland. Additionally, this position may require long and sometimes irregular hours.

Compensation: This role includes an annual salary of $60,000 and a competitive benefits package.
