divh2Salesforce Platform Architect/h2pThe Salesforce Platform Architect is the lead technologist of the Salesforce Center of Excellence at Zelis. Reporting to the VP of Enterprise Applications, this role goes beyond solution design, it owns the architectural vision, drives platform strategy, and curates the technical roadmap that enables scalable, secure, and future-proof Salesforce innovation across the enterprise. The architect will serve as the steward of architectural integrity, guiding teams through complex integrations, modernization efforts, and multi-cloud alignment./ph3Strategic Responsibilities/h3pstrongArchitectural Vision Strategy/strong/pulliDefine and evolve the long-term architectural vision for Salesforce at Zelis, ensuring alignment with enterprise IT strategy, business goals, and emerging technologies./liliChampion platform scalability, modularity, and extensibility across Sales, Service, Experience, and Analytics Clouds./liliEvaluate and recommend implementation patterns for new (to Zelis) Salesforce capabilities like Data Cloud, Agentforce and Mulesoft./li/ulpstrongTechnical Roadmap Ownership/strong/pulliDevelop and maintain a living technical roadmap that outlines platform evolution, major releases, refactoring initiatives, and innovation pilots./liliCollaborate with product owners, business analysts, and engineering leads to prioritize roadmap items based on business value, technical feasibility, and risk./liliEnsure roadmap transparency across stakeholders and proactively manage dependencies and trade-offs./li/ulpstrongArchitectural Governance Patterns/strong/pulliEstablish and enforce architectural standards, reusable design patterns, and documentation practices across all Salesforce teams./liliMaintain a library of Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) to ensure traceability and consistency./liliLead architecture reviews, technical design sessions, and solution assessments for all major initiatives./li/ulpstrongIntegration Leadership/strong/pulliDesign robust integration strategies between Salesforce and enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, data lakes, marketing platforms, identity providers)./liliDefine API standards, middleware usage (e.g., Mulesoft), and event-driven architectures for real-time data exchange./liliEnsure integrations are secure, performant, and compliant with HIPAA, SOC 2, and other regulatory frameworks./li/ulpstrongTactical Responsibilities/strong/pulliConduct org health assessments and performance tuning across environments./liliLead proof-of-concepts for new technologies (e.g., AI, LLMs, DC) within the Salesforce ecosystem./liliMentor developers and tech leads on Apex, integration best practices, and platform limitations./liliCollaborate with DevOps to ensure CI/CD pipelines align with architectural principles./liliPartner with data architects to ensure data lineage, governance, and analytics readiness./li/ulpstrongDesired Qualifications/strong/pulli8+ years in enterprise architecture, with 5+ years focused on Salesforce platform design./liliSalesforce Certified Application Architect and System Architect credentials./liliDeep expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, REST/SOAP APIs, and integration architecture./liliExperience with Mulesoft, Heroku, Kafka, or other middleware/event platforms./liliStrong understanding of security protocols, identity management, and compliance frameworks./liliPrior experience in healthcare, fintech, or regulated industries./liliFamiliarity with microservices, containerization, and cloud-native design principles./li/ulp*Please note at this time we are unable to proceed with candidates who require visa sponsorship now or in the future./ppWe have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India. The base salary range allows us to make an offer that considers multiple individualized factors, including experience, education, qualifications, as well as job-related and industry-related knowledge and skills, etc. Base pay is just one part of our Total Rewards package, which may also include discretionary bonus plans, commissions, or other incentives depending on the role.
