Community Options, Inc. is a national non‑profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. We are now hiring a Full‑time Employment Specialist in Dallas, TX to coach persons with developmental disabilities and prepare them for employment. The Employment Specialist will develop essential job skills for persons with disabilities and assist in job placement. Starting pay is $18.00 per hour. Responsibilities
Provide the necessary assistance for people with disabilities to be placed in competitive employment. Coach the person with disabilities to develop independent job skills. Work side‑by‑side with persons with disabilities at job sites. Work with all types of criminal backgrounds, including sex offenders. Reinforce essential skills or teach new skills such as developing a resume, conducting a successful job interview, and completing a job application. Accurately complete all documentation. Experience with billing and authorization processes, particularly in employment or vocational services. Cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation. Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned. Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. Open availability. Two years’ full‑time work experience in supporting people with disabilities. Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record and reliable transportation. UNT credentials are a plus. Why Community Options?
