JobSummary Joinourcustomer’steamasaRealEstateInvestmentUnderwritingExpert,whereyourinstitutionalknowledgeinacquisitions,underwriting,andassetmanagementwilldirectlyshapethestandardfordealevaluation.Inthisrole,youwillserveasanessentialevaluatorofcommercialrealestateunderwriting,providingexpertinsightsandstructuredfeedbacktoelevatetheinvestmentprocess.
KeyResponsibilities
Analyzeandreviewdetailedunderwritingmodels,discountedcashflows(DCF),andproformasforanalyticalsoundnessandadherencetomarketrealities.
Assessinvestmentcommitteematerials,acquisitionmemos,anddealrationalesforinstitutional-graderigorandclarity.
Evaluaterisk-adjustedreturns,debtstructures,capitalstacks,andprojectedexitstrategiestoensurerobustinvestmentanalysis.
Scoreandbenchmarkunderwritingpackagesagainststandardizedinvestmentcriteriatoensureconsistencyandquality.
Deliverclear,concisewrittenfeedbackidentifyinggapsinanalysis,marketassumptions,pricing,orriskassessment.
Contributesector-specificexpertiseacrossmultifamily,industrial,office,retail,andspecialtyassetclasses.
Supportthecalibrationofqualitystandardsforjuniorandseniorunderwritingprofessionals,directlyimpactingthetraininganddevelopmentprocess.
RequiredSkillsandQualifications
5+yearsofexperienceincommercialrealestateacquisitions,underwriting,assetmanagement,REPE,REITs,orstructuredrealestatefinance.
ProficiencyinbuildingorreviewingARGUSandadvancedExcelunderwritingmodels.
Expertisewithleases,rentrolls,T-12,operatingexpenses(OPEX),capitalexpenditures(CapEx),debtsizing,andinvestmentreturnsmetrics(IRR,EMx,CoC).
Strongabilitytoevaluaterealasseteconomics,marketcomparabledata,anddiversecapitalstructures.
Keenanalyticalmindsetwithapassionforbothwrittenandverbalcommunication,criticalforprovidingactionablefeedback.
Demonstratedexperiencewithhedgefundorassetmanagementenvironments.
