Overview
Position Title: Location: Redstone Arsenal Position Type: Full-Time We are seeking a mid-level User Interaction/User Experience (UI/UX) Designer to support the design and usability of secure, mission-critical applications. This role focuses on creating intuitive, user-centered designs while collaborating closely with engineering and product teams in a classified environment. Responsibilities
Design user-centered interfaces and workflows for web-based and software applications Translate user requirements and system needs into wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs Conduct usability testing and incorporate feedback to improve user experience Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure design feasibility Maintain and contribute to UI standards, style guides, and design systems Ensure accessibility, consistency, and usability across applications Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or similar) Minimum of 6 years of UI/UX experience Strong experience in user interaction and user experience design Proficiency with common UI/UX design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar) Active Top Secret security clearance (required at time of hire) Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting DoD or federal programs Familiarity with designing within secure or classified environments Understanding of front-end development constraints and workflows Culture Requirements
