Senior Technical Designer

to oversee the product development process from initial prototype through final production. This newly created role reports jointly to both the Design and Production teams, ensuring that every style delivers exceptional fit, construction, and quality across all categories.

This is a pivotal role in transforming creative ideas into technically sound garments, balancing innovation with precision and partnering closely with international vendors to bring each design to life.

RESPONSIBILITES

Manage all stages of product development, from proto through final production, across knits and wovens.

Lead fit sessions (in person or virtual), providing detailed, actionable feedback for design and factory teams.

Review and approve samples at each milestone — proto, fit, SMS, PPS, and TOP — ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Build and maintain complete

technical packages

with specifications, measurements, and construction details.

Oversee block library management and maintain consistency in grading, fit, and quality standards.

Collaborate with Design to ensure creative intent is translated into production-ready garments.

Partner with Product Development and Sourcing to align on costing, timelines, and vendor capabilities.

Communicate directly with overseas factories to resolve technical challenges and ensure smooth execution.

Analyze testing and wash results to uphold brand quality and compliance standards.

Support production by reviewing TOP samples and troubleshooting issues to ensure flawless delivery.

Continuously seek process improvements to enhance product integrity, efficiency, and innovation.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, Apparel Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of technical design experience

in the apparel industry (knits and wovens preferred).

Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern development, and grading principles.

Proficient in

Adobe Illustrator

and experienced with PLM systems.

Proven success managing communication with

international factories and vendors .

Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Detail-oriented, solution-driven, and collaborative across cross-functional teams.
