
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Donor Relations, the Donor Relations Specialist develops, deploys and oversees comprehensive donor acknowledgement and impact strategies for the Norman Campus, OU Health Campus and OU-Tulsa. Provides data analysis to segment donor information for tailored comprehensive donor acknowledgement communications. Collaborates with internal team, Advancement, and university staff, and acts as an acknowledgement hub to ensure donors are uniformly acknowledged and stewarded.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Comprehensive Donor Acknowledgment Management
Comprehensive donor acknowledgement: Oversee and deploy comprehensive acknowledgement and impact strategies designed to recognize, support and encourage continued giving. Serve as a hub, directing acknowledgement work to the correct work group.
Segment and project manage regular donor files for tailored donor acknowledgments, including but not limited to standard, first-time and reoccurring donor recognition, as well as memorial, leadership and presidential acknowledgment letters.
Work with Data Management and Prospect Research teams to ensure accurate donor data.
Deploy digital comprehensive acknowledgments and segmented communications through the Foundation's digital communications platform.
Partner with OU colleagues to gather comprehensive beneficiary content from students, faculty and staff to help share the impact of donor giving.
Assist with regular analysis of comprehensive stewardship efforts to measure effectiveness, identify trends and inform strategic decision-making.
Collaboration
Collaborate with Advancement officers, university staff and internal teams to ensure timely and properly segmented gift acknowledgment processes.
Provide accurate and timely responses to internal and external stakeholder requests, demonstrating exemplary customer service.
Work with internal and external teams to understand, create and deploy projects efficiently and accurately.
Take a team-oriented approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting.
Pursue continuous learning and participate in peer education opportunities that inform evolving best practices.

Education/Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
2-4 years advanced work experience in customer service, marketing or donor relations.
Preferences
1-3 years of experience in development or donor relations, preferably in a university setting.
Basic technical knowledge of fundraising in an educational or non-profit environment.
