Position Summary The Senior Account Manager works closely with Advisors/Client Executives and Account Executives to service client accounts. The role involves day‑to‑day account management, renewal and marketing processes, presentation preparation, and client servicing. Senior Account Managers may manage their own book of business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain relationships with carrier and client contacts; lead client meetings as assigned.
Manage the renewal and marketing processes from start to finish in collaboration with Account Executives and Advisors.
Communicate directly with clients and carriers.
Create and maintain client files and policy records in the agency management system.
Hold an assigned book of business.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self‑confident, able to make sound independent decisions.
Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
Calm, courteous, professional in handling situations.
Customer‑focused, building and maintaining relationships.
Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and agency management systems.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and prioritization skills.
Attention to detail and decision‑making skills.
Adaptable to changing priorities, deadlines, and technology.
When working from home, maintain a private workspace, high‑speed internet, and remain present and responsive online.
Education and Experience
BA/BS preferred.
More than five years in the industry and product line.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration
P&C Insurance License required.
Location and Schedule Hybrid work schedule with office locations in Albany, Amherst, Kingston, Rochester, Pittsford, Fishkill (NY) or Danbury (CT).
