Summary

The Communications Specialist plays a key role in keeping our employees informed, engaged, and inspired. This position supports internal and executive communications, helping employees understand our goals, values, and culture.

Youll partner closely with departments across CES to plan, write, and deliver internal communications through multiple channels, including email, intranet, digital signage, and presentations.

This position reports to the Communications Manager and works closely with leadership and functional teams throughout the business.

Essential Job Functions
  • Plan, write, edit, and distribute clear and engaging internal communications across multiple channels (email, intranet, digital signage, newsletters, and more).
  • Manage editorial calendars and ensure internal messaging aligns with company strategy and priorities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to communicate initiatives, changes, and updates to employees in a way thats consistent, transparent, and easy to understand.
  • Develop strong internal relationships and act as a trusted advisor on communication best practices.
  • Translate complex business topics into straightforward, meaningful messages.
  • Create and edit PowerPoint presentations, talking points, and scripts for leadership communications.
  • Maintain internal directories, organizational charts, and other key internal reference materials.
  • Contribute creative ideas and continuous improvements to the internal communications function.

Education/Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in internal communications.
  • Bachelors degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience developing and executing internal communication plans or campaigns.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to tone, clarity, and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a positive, professional, and adaptable attitude.
  • Maintains confidentiality and sound judgment.

Physical Demands
