About the Role Our client, a Fortune 500 leader in the financial services industry, is seeking a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to drive enterprise‑wide cloud strategy, modernization, and technology transformation. This is a high‑impact role responsible for shaping the company’s cloud architecture standards, guiding engineering teams, and ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions across a highly regulated environment. What You’ll Do Lead Cloud Architecture Strategy: Define and evolve the enterprise cloud architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and security standards. Drive Modernization Initiatives: Architect and guide the migration of legacy systems to cloud‑native solutions, focusing on performance, scalability, security, and cost optimization. Partner with Engineering & Leadership: Work closely with senior leadership, product teams, and infrastructure groups to translate business needs into technical solutions. Set Governance & Best Practices: Establish cloud governance frameworks, reference architectures, and reusable patterns to ensure consistency across all cloud programs. Technical Leadership: Serve as a subject‑matter expert in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP), providing mentorship and guidance to architects and engineering teams. Security & Compliance: Ensure all cloud solutions adhere to financial industry compliance standards (PCI, SOC2, FFIEC), as well as enterprise IAM, encryption, and data protection protocols. Evaluate New Technologies: Assess emerging cloud services, tools, and platforms; recommend adoption strategies that deliver measurable business value. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Drive alignment between application development, DevOps, platform engineering, cybersecurity, and data architecture teams. What We’re Looking For 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, enterprise architecture, or large‑scale distributed systems. Deep expertise with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Strong background in infrastructure‑as‑code , container orchestration, microservices, networking, and identity management. Experience architecting secure, compliant solutions in highly regulated industries (financial services preferred). Proven ability to set technical direction , influence cross‑functional teams, and drive complex cloud programs from concept to delivery. Demonstrated knowledge of cloud security, IAM , encryption, network segmentation, and compliance controls. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present architectural solutions to both technical and executive audiences. Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional , Google Professional Cloud Architect , or Azure Solutions Architect Expert are a plus.
