JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for managing Public Relations in Americas, UK & CEMEA, assisting the wider global Public Relations team in driving positive awareness for the Regent Seven Seas Cruises brand. Working closely with marketing channel managers (particularly social and advertising), this role will collaborate with internal sales, revenue, passenger services, finance and operational teams globally, as well as external PR agencies to drive and manage strategic Public Relations campaigns and initiatives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
  • Provide all aspects of management and support of local Public Relations agencies in Americas, UK & CEMEA.
  • Lead the development and management of the local Public Relations strategy including development and execution of PR tactics, initiatives and activations, (including press trip/media events management and hosting). This would involve all relevant internal stakeholders while ensuring technical feasibility and that all projects are delivered on time and within budget, in addition to supporting Senior Director Communications, Public Relations and Organic Social in overall global PR strategy and planning.
  • Responsible for all aspects of press release creation and external/internal distribution including stakeholder sign-off and market localization.
  • Supervise the local budget management and supplier invoice processing for local markets, supporting Management in global budget management,
  • Along with team, responsible for collection of monthly global and regional coverage reporting.
  • Responsible for supporting team with management of global PR email inbox.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of local editorial calendars and support Management in development and maintenance of global editorial calendar.
  • Oversee the development, maintenance and distribution of media assets such as brand information packs, brand imagery packs, and spokespeople bios.
  • Lead relationship building with key media in local markets as well as development of new media relationships/media database building in priority markets without PR agencies.
  • Collaborate with Management in speechwriting, interview briefs and talking points for executive and on-board officer spokespeople.
  • Supports wider internal/external operational communications to guests, travel advisors and Regent employees
  • Support Senior Director Communications, Public Relations and Organic Social in developing crisis management plans, coordinating reactive communication response to crises and issues
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external partners, driving high quality, timely outputs that drive results for key company stakeholders.
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field of study required; or any equivalent combination of relevant background, skills and experience.

EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Public Relations, communications or marketing related role.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS
  • Excellent understanding of media and journalist requirements.
  • Ability to identify and develop brand stories which also fulfil editorial requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management on corporate structure.
  • Ability to compose editorial copy, translating complex concepts and ideas into simple terms.
  • Excellent project management skills with track record of successful PR strategy and tactical execution.
  • Existing media contacts are preferable but not essential.
  • Experience in crisis and issue management is preferable but not essential.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively working to short deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Exceptional organizational and administrational skills. Ability to think creatively, strategically and execute accordingly.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce PMF system is preferable but not essential.
  • Highly motivated and independently completes tasks.
