Thisis a Full-Time contract position.
This is professional legal work assisting thePublic Defender in providing legal defense of indigents in state court andproviding the constitutional guarantee of the right to counsel. The incumbent will investigate indigentdefendants' cases in preparation for disposition by the court.
Requirements:
• Graduatefrom an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor Degree in Law
• Memberof the Georgia State Bar
• Musthave and maintain a valid United States Driver's License (Class C), asatisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) and the ability and willingness todrive a county vehicle; if assigned job duties require the use of a vehicle
• Minimum21 years of age
Employment is contingent on passing a mandatoryPhysical/Drug Screen/MVR and Background Investigation.
Salary: $70,232.76 annually, ($33.77 hourly) plus full benefits package
