Job Title UI/UX Consultant – Location: Spring, TX – Type: Contract – Compensation: $70.00 per hour – Contractor Work Model: Hybrid
Responsibilities Creating wireframes: low-fidelity and high-fidelity mockups that show the structure and layout of product screens
Prototyping to visualize designs before development
Designing graphic elements: menus, tabs, and other UI elements
Developing navigation components and building navigation for the product
Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps
Gathering and evaluating user requirements in collaboration with product managers and business SMEs
Preparing and presenting drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
Adjusting designs based on user feedback and maturity of value delivery
Identifying and troubleshooting UX problems and pain points (e.g., responsiveness, friction, hidden value)
Adhering to approved ABS branding, fonts, styles, colors, and images
Required Skills and Experience Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role (7+ years)
Expert level experience with design and wireframe tools (e.g., Adobe XD, Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
Portfolio of design projects
Strong communication and presentation skills
Active listening skills and client empathy to affect design ideas and product improvements
Team player who thrives in matrixed organizations and with various stakeholders at all levels
Good time management and organizational skills
Bachelor's degree in a technology related field (e.g., Graphic Design, Product Design, Marketing, Human-Computer Interaction, etc.) or equivalent experience
Preferred Skills and Qualifications Experience in using Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Jira Product Discovery)
Foundational knowledge of Product Development and Management
Experience in Agile Development (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
Certifications: Certified Professional in User Interface Design (CPUX-UID), Certified Usability Analyst (CUA), Certified User Experience Analyst (CXA), Adobe Certified Professional, Figma UI/UX Design Essentials
