Role Summary:

Do you have a heart for people and a passion for building community? Are you seeking a volunteer role where you can immediately make a difference? Love the hiking, green space, and/or the environment? We are seeking a Volunteer Recruitment and Onboarding Director to identify, recruit, and warmly welcome new volunteers into our mission. You’ll design outreach efforts, host info sessions, and guide new team members through their onboarding journey.

• This role has to potential to convert to a permanent, paid leadership position. **

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies
• Create onboarding materials and orientation sessions
• Maintain a welcoming, values-aligned volunteer experience

Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in HR, recruiting, or ministry leadership a plus but not required
• Passion for Kingdom work and people development a plus but not required

Hiking Program Volunteers You Will Recruit:

• Program Director – has overall responsibility for the hiking group.
• Hike Coordinator – creates the seasonal schedule and tracks attendance at all hikes. Can be a virtual role.
• Hike Planner – Recommends and plans a single hike.
• Group Leader – Leads one hiking group on the day of the hike.
• Group Sweep – Hikes last in the group and keeps a count of the hikers.
• Photographer/Videographer – takes photos and videos during the hike.
• Social Host – Plans the after hike social.
• Social Media Strategist – revolutionizes our digital presence and grows our brand following.
• Website Developer – designs, develops, and maintains website.
