Job Summary As the Practice Director, Sales, you will lead the growth, delivery excellence, and commercial success of Toptal’s Sales Service Offering. You will help define market positioning, design scalable service offerings, and drive client engagements that deliver measurable revenue impact.

Responsibilities

Lead client engagements and drive commercial growth, serving as the primary client-facing executive and building long‑term partnerships.

Partner with leadership to develop and execute the strategic roadmap for the Sales Practice, defining market priorities and service portfolio.

Design and scale differentiated service offerings, continuously refining packaging, pricing, and delivery models.

Lead early‑stage client engagements to validate new offerings and translate insights into actionable input.

Ensure the Practice is supported by top-tier experts, upholding delivery standards and “The Toptal Way.”

Represent Toptal Sales as a trusted authority in revenue acceleration and sales transformation through thought leadership and market education.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.

8+ years in Sales, with 5+ years in a Sales Leadership role.

Comprehensive knowledge of the sales funnel and key activities at each stage.

Experience with sales technology and automation, including CRM and analytics tools.

Proven track record delivering measurable commercial outcomes in consultative engagements.

Experience designing, packaging, and scaling service offerings.

Strong relationship development and leadership skills across all organizational levels.

Collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset with ability to operate in a fast‑paced distributed organization.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

World‑class individual contributor mindset.

Essential Job Functions

US FLSA Classification Full‑time, exempt.

Compensation and Benefits Position receives a base salary plus discretionary bonus. xsgimln Compensation is determined by location, experience, and qualifications.
