As a Senior Applied Scientist, you will:

• Lead machine learning initiatives, driving technical excellence within your team and across Amazon.
• Conduct in-depth analyses of vast datasets to derive insights that boost traffic monetization and sales.
• Oversee end-to-end machine learning projects characterized by complexity and ambiguity.
• Develop, test, and implement machine learning models, collaborating closely with software engineers to ensure successful deployment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience in developing machine learning models for business applications.
• PhD or Master's degree with 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning techniques.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Familiarity with modeling tools like R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems including Hadoop and Spark.

Our compensation package is competitive and reflective of the labor market in various geographic regions. The salary for this role starts at $150,400/year and can go up to $260,000/year, depending on experience and location. Additional benefits include equity, sign-on bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package.
