divh2Job Opportunity At MRC Global/h2pMRC Global serves the oil and gas industry across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors as well as the chemical and gas distribution market sectors worldwide. Responsible for processing orders received electronically, by telephone, or personally from customers or company employees and entering them into Oracle. Orders may include a company-wide range of products, such as pipes, valves, fittings, and electrical products. Also, miscellaneous admin functions, and miscellaneous warehouse duties as needed./ppResponsibilities include:/pulliEnter and maintain purchase orders, customer orders, procurement matches, and trade discounts as needed./liliMonitor both pro-active and customer driven expedition of material./liliMaintain knowledge of current price levels of material./liliUpdate contracts and price lists as needed./liliObtain price quotes from vendors for resale to customers./liliAnswer immediate and periodic requests from internal and external customers and branches pertaining to the sales functions, including warehouse errors, shortages, and damaged and wrong material./liliTransfer or remove excess and/or dead stock from branches./liliSet up the correct description of all inventory items./liliAdd new inventory to the system as needed./liliMaintain various records and files, including rebate files, stock transactions, price catalogs, customer lists, product catalogs, and discounts./liliHandle confidential information related to product and resale costs./liliUnload material, tools, and equipment from vendor trucks./liliInspect material for minimum MRC Global quality requirements./liliMaintain site inventory by assisting in inventory audits./liliStock and transfer material, tools, and equipment to the appropriate shelf, bin, rack, or pipe bundle by a predetermined sequence, including bin location, size, type, style, and length./liliMark the material with the correct identifying information./liliAssemble customer orders from stock and package orders in boxes and pallets as per customer requirements./liliPull orders for delivery and stock-to-stock transfer./liliLoad onto the correct truck or transfer to the packing area using a forklift./liliPrepare documentation for UPS, LTL, SH, or Air shipments./liliEnter appropriate inventory (incoming and outgoing) information into MRC Global specific software, as needed./liliMaintain warehouse cleanliness in compliance with OSHA and MRC Global safety policies./liliTake reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others./liliReport workplace hazards, injuries, or illnesses immediately./liliPerform other departmental duties or projects as assigned./li/ulpQualifications include:/pulliHigh school diploma or a GED (General Education Degree)./liliTwo years of warehouse experience, either with MRC Global or with a similar work environment./liliThorough knowledge of material and products offered by MRC Global and general knowledge of pricing for PVF materials./liliAbility to learn MRC Global specific software and scanning./liliAbility to become certified on and adequately operate forklift trucks, overhead cranes, and other warehouse equipment./liliStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel./liliCustomer service mindset, strong reasoning, math and analytical skills, organizational, and time management./li/ulpAdditional qualifications include:/pulliMust have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status./liliAbility to read and speak the English language proficiently in order to communicate with others, understand and interpret safety instructions, and to respond to inquiries./liliAbility to understand and comply with MRC guidelines and expectations, to include MRC Globals Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines./li/ulpWorking conditions include:/pulliFor position-specific details regarding the physical and mental demands and working conditions, contact Human Resources./liliReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals to perform essential functions./li/ulpQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.
