About the role:

We're looking for a Group Creative Director with the strategic vision to lead, inspire, and define the future of how one of the world's most iconic technology brands connects with its consumer audience. You'll lead the creative charge across many of the biggest and most exciting brands in this technology company's portfolio, partnering and mentoring a team of creatives dedicated to crafting exceptional, impactful, and dynamic work across a wide spectrum of channels.

We are a unique team in one of the most beautiful cities in the US. VML Seattle is a small, tight-knit crew that does things their way, with the advantages and backing of a global creative network. Here we believe life inspires our work, so we should live a little. It helps that we have beautiful mountains just an hour away, incredible greenery on every street, and some of the best underground art and culture you'll ever discover.

What we're looking for:
  • Creative Leadership That Inspires: You've not only managed teams but fostered their growth, presented bold ideas, and consistently led clients towards truly exceptional creative work. You embody creative bravery and strategic insight.
  • Conceptual Depth & Impeccable Craft: You have the range to dream big and obsess over the tiny things that make ideas shine. Your portfolio showcases highly conceptual work, impeccable craft, and beautiful storytelling across all channels.
  • AI Fluency & Future-Forward Thinking: You're plugged into the evolving AI landscape, hands-on with the latest platforms, and can make emerging tools and AI feel less sci-fi and more "oh wow, that's cool," always with a strategic purpose.
  • Social & Innovation Driver: You understand that social is not just a channel, but a mindset. You're always scanning for creative opportunities in cultural shifts and can drive innovation across platforms and media.
  • Refined Brand Acumen: You have a proven track record of working with refined brands and an elevated sensibility, understanding the nuances required to maintain brand integrity and excellence.
  • Strategic Vision & Client Persuasion: You interrogate briefs, uncover insights, and collaborate across creative and strategy to deliver work that's not just great but also unexpected. You can sell an idea, rally a team, and make clients feel like they're in the best hands.
  • Tech Sector Insight: While not mandatory, experience working with major technology brands or within the tech industry is a significant advantage.
  • Proven Experience: Significant time spent in an agency or comparable in-house creative environment, with experience in a leadership role (e.g., Creative Director, Group Creative Director). You understand the pace, the pressure, and how to thrive in it.
What we offer:
  • Passionate, driven people | We champion a culture of people that do extraordinary work.
  • Consciously cultivated culture | We aim to embody the behaviors to build an inclusive community that is in it together, bringing both positivity and active listening into the workplace as we simultaneously strive to empower creative bravery.
  • Competitive benefits | What we offer full time hires ranges from the full spectrum of group health coverage options (medical, dental, vision) to a generous 401k match (100% dollar-for-dollar match, up to 5% of salary contribution), and a variety of paid time off offerings that reflect our investment in all aspects of your overall life balance and wellness.
  • Growth-minded opportunities | We aim to nurture a culture of real-time feedback, growth-oriented mindset, and plenty of training opportunities through VML and WPP, so you can continue to grow personally and professionally.
