Gail Borden Public Library has an immediate part-time opening for a creative Graphic Design Assistant to join our Visual Arts team. This role is essential in shaping the library’s visual identity and ensuring our offerings are visible and marketed effectively throughout the community.
As a key contributor to our award-winning library, you will design and produce high-visibility promotional materials - including ads, brochures, flyers, signage, and more - that connect the community to our programs, resources, and services while strengthening our brand.
Qualifications:
College degree in graphic arts or equivalent coursework with professional experience in the graphics field.
Demonstrated experience and proficiency using computer graphics software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro).
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.
Highly developed skill in basic graphics and composition with above-average attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience with print execution and the production of physical marketing materials.
Ability to work collaboratively in conceptual development meetings for library-wide projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
